Cyclone filters
Appointment
Filter cyclones model FKC/A are used for highly efficient cleaning air flow coming from pneumatic transport and aspiration systems from dust and small particles by dry method.
The use of FKTs/A filters makes it possible to reduce the dust content of the air at the outlet to a value of less than 2 mg/cub.m, regardless of the initial dust content. When designing the load on filter surface is recommended take according to the maximum allowable values.
Characteristic
- The filter housing has the shape of a cyclone, which increases the filtering ability of the product due to the turbulence imparted to the air flow, as a result of which part of the dust is deposited due to centrifugal action.
- Inside the housing, filter hoses are vertically arranged, the fabric of which is reinforced with steel wire with a plastic coating.
- In the upper part of the filter there is an air chamber of clean air, which performs the functions of a receiver, a block of air injectors and clean air outlet pipes.
- The filter has left and right versions.
- The upper part can be rotated according to the pitch of the flange holes.
- The hoses are purged with compressed air pulses at a pressure of 0.5..0.7 Bar, supplied through air injectors installed above each sleeve. This system causes a strong shaking of the sleeves, as a result of which the dust adhering to the fabric is removed.
- The place of discharge of the deposited product (dust) is set by turning the bottom around the axis when installing the filter cyclone in accordance with the pitch of the flange holes.

- The compressed air supply unit has an electronic clock device that regulates the time of air supply in the range from 0.15 to 0.3 seconds and the frequency of air supply in the range from 5 to 20 seconds.
- To reduce the dimensions and improve the removal of dust and small particles from the filter, instead of the traditional conical sedimentation chamber, a flat bottom with rotating blades pushing the product into the hole at the bottom is installed on the product (place I-I). A sluice gate is installed under the opening, which is driven by a gear motor.
- If necessary, an explosion-discharge chamber of the Sovokrim design can be installed on the product (docking planes I-I and II-II)
- To increase reliability, a compressed air distributor with air injectors, cloth sleeves, an electronic control panel “TIMER” and a gear motor manufactured in Italy or a domestic manufacturer are installed on the product.
- The cyclone filter is supplied in a state of high installation readiness. To connect, it is enough to supply compressed air and electricity. The main filter assemblies can be rotated according to the pitch of the holes in the flanges, which simplifies installation according to the project.
The cyclone filter has a certificate of conformity, a hygienic certificate and a permit from the Federal Committee for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision.
The principle of operation
The dust enters the cylindrical region of the cyclone, then produces a spiral movement from top to bottom. Under the action of centrifugal force, contaminated particles remain on the walls of this section of the housing. It is very often observed that the centrifugal acceleration here is several hundred, and sometimes thousands of times greater than the acceleration of gravity (g = 9.8 m / s2), so even small particles cannot cope with following the air flow.
After hitting the walls, the particles fall down into the dust bin under the influence of gravity. Getting into the conical area of the cyclone, the air flow changes its direction. Part of the gas turns from the bottom up, and dust particles, due to inertia, do not have time to change the direction of movement and fall into the hopper.
It is worth noting that the so-called "reverse dust removal" is possible. The process by which air enters the hopper and lifts fine dust up with it.
Advantages
- absence of mechanically moving elements in the structure;
- greater operating temperature range up to 500 °C;
- dry dust filtration;
- efficient operation at high gas pressure;
- easy to install and manufacture;
- the degree of purification is up to 90%;
- the ability to work with abrasive mineral dust.
