Acceptance and purification of raw materials is an important stage in the production of compound feeds, since the quality of the final product depends on the quality of the raw materials. The preparation of raw materials includes a complex of technological operations:
- automobile and (or) railway acceptance;
- packaging of container raw materials;
- preliminary cleaning of raw materials;
- interoperative transportation.

The following equipment is usually included in the raw material preparation department:
- Acceptance:
- A blockage pit for vehicles and railway transport;
- Hydraulic tipper for vehicles of any load capacity;
- Receiving hopper for bags, a device for manually rastark bags (complete with aspiration system);
- Aspiration for the blockage pit (local filter system)- includes all necessary fans and pipes to introduce dust back into the product stream.

The principle of operation
Acceptance of raw materials begins with its delivery to the factory. At the same time, it is necessary to check the compliance of the quality of raw materials with the requirements specified in the technical documentation for the production of compound feeds. The raw materials are fed in bulk into the loading funnel from the machines. With the help of a grate, large unwanted impurities are separated from the raw materials.
After acceptance, the raw materials are cleaned. Cleaning is carried out to remove impurities from the raw materials, such as sand, stones, plant residues, etc. The cleaner prepares the raw materials using a sieve with hole sizes to remove large impurities, and a sieve to remove small impurities (sand, weed seeds, etc.), which removes particles smaller than the raw material itself. Dust and other light particles are removed by the built-in aspiration system. Magnetic metal impurities are removed when the raw material passes through a permanent magnet in magnetic columns or separators.
The purified raw materials then go to the next stage of production, where they are mixed with other ingredients and made into compound feed.
