The principle of operation
The rotary film apparatus is a horizontal vessel mounted on a frame with a steam jacket and a conical rotor rotating inside.
The phosphatide emulsion is applied to the rotating blades of a conical rotor under the action of centrifugal forces to the inner surface of the housing and gradually moves in the form of a thin film along the housing. The vapor-gas mixture formed as a result of evaporation is sucked out by a vacuum system, and the phosphatide concentrate with a residual moisture content of less than 2% is removed to a storage tank or for subsequent processing.
