The sleeves are part of the working body of the extruder, are installed inside the cups and are designed to form the outer surface of the working chamber of the extruder.

Characteristic

The sleeves are made by machining castings made of alloyed high-chromium cast iron. The casting of blanks is carried out according to polystyrene models baked using specific technological equipment. After mechanical processing, the sleeve blanks are subjected to additional heat treatment. The combination of the material used in the manufacture of sleeves with subsequent heat treatment gives the sleeves high hardness and wear resistance.

The principle of operation

The sleeves have a complex surface. The inner surface of the sleeves has slotted horizontal slots. The protruding part of the slots allows you to provide the necessary working gap between the outer diameter of the screw turns and the inner surface of the sleeve to ensure the grinding of processed raw materials. The inner slotted surface allows the raw material to move freely in the longitudinal direction of the working chamber. The outer cylindrical part provides a fit inside the glasses. One of the end surfaces of the sleeve has rectangular slots for fixing the sleeve LFUYA.E-1000.00.00.030. The second end surface of the sleeve has a square flange for fixing the position in the cup. Thanks to the square flanges, the stationary position of the sleeves is ensured during the formation of the working chamber.

Additionally, the sleeves in the cups are fixed with mounting screws. The LFUI casings. E-1000.00.00.031 and LFUA. E-1000.00.00.033 have the same overall dimensions and configuration and are installed in intermediate extruder cups. The difference between the sleeves is the presence of a hole in the sleeve of the LFUI. E-1000.00.00.033 for supplying water to the working chamber of the extruder. The sleeves of LFUYA.E-1000.00.00.038 and LFUYA.E-1000.00.00.038-10 differ from other sleeves in overall dimensions and are installed inside the inlet cup. These sleeves differ from each other in the size of the inlet through which the processed raw material enters the working chamber of the extruder.
