The extruder screws are part of the working chamber of the extruder, are mounted on the extruder shaft and are designed for longitudinal movement, abrasion of processed raw materials and creating pressure in the working chamber.

Characteristic

• Screws are made by machining castings made of alloyed high-chromium cast iron. The casting of blanks is carried out according to polystyrene models baked using specific technological equipment.
• After machining, the screw blanks are subjected to additional heat treatment. The combination of the material used in the manufacture of screws with subsequent heat treatment gives the screws high hardness and wear resistance.

The principle of operation

When the screw rotates, the coil, due to its configuration and direction, allows for the longitudinal movement of raw materials in the working chamber of the extruder from the inlet to the outlet, to ensure close contact of the processed raw materials with other elements of the working chamber (washers, bushings, sleeves, etc.) and its abrasion, to overcome the resulting pressure of raw materials, to ensure an increase in the temperature of the processed raw materials.
