Knives and clamping plates are part of the working bodies of oil presses of the OR, RP-1000 series. The knives and clamping strips, together with the grain strips, form the inner surface of the grain chamber.

Characteristic

Knives and clamping bars are manufactured by machining alloy steel workpieces with subsequent heat treatment. The knives have a complex geometric shape, different for each grain box.
After machining, the blanks of the knives and clamping bars are subjected to additional heat treatment. The combination of the material used in the manufacture with subsequent heat treatment gives the lamellas high hardness and wear resistance.

The knives and clamping strips are installed in a diametrically opposite position, which allows you to assemble a package of grain strips in each box without additional (except for working) gaps.

Compression of the package of grain strips with knives and clamping strips prevents the passage of the cake outside the working chamber of the oil press together with the oil.

An additional function of the knives is to mix and loosen the cake formed during the operation of the oil press (abrasion of raw materials by working bodies) with their protruding parts.

The loosened cake moves longitudinally and is removed from the oil press through the outlet box.
