Granulator Press
Animal feed can be produced in the form of granules of different diameters and with different strength indicators by granulating raw materials after crushing, mixing and conditioning.
The line of granulators (wide model range) provides productivity from 2 t/h to 60 t/h depending on various parameters. They feature low operating costs per ton of feed.
Characteristics and features
- The front door is made of stainless steel and is equipped with an overflow and control valve;
- The safety of the overflow valve is ensured by a cylinder actuated by an overload relay to prevent the press from blocking;
- A large magnet mounted in the front door prevents metal particles from getting on the rollers;
- The transmission of torque from the motor to the main pulley is carried out through wedge-shaped belts;
- The press bed is made entirely of cast iron, which supports the entire structure and guarantees maximum stability and smooth operation of the press;
- The matrix connection is reinforced with stainless steel and pressed onto the shaft at four points, which guarantees low matrix wear;
- The press is equipped with two pressing rollers, the bearings are protected by labyrinth seals;
- Automatic lubrication system of the granulator press.

The principle of operation
The use of pressure when the crushed material is clamped between the rotating surface of the matrix and the press roll. When the matrix rotates, it knocks a handful of raw materials toward the press rolls, which, in turn, rotate. The mass is clamped in a wedge-shaped space between two surfaces, compacted and passed through the cells of the matrix.
Advantages

Production flexibility:
- calculation of the optimal matrix speed depending on the pellet strength index and productivity. Speed from 4.7 to 9.4 m/s;
- a motor with a frequency converter that provides speed control in accordance with various formulations;
- built-in bypass valve in the intake funnel;
- The second bypass valve is for the production of heat-treated loose feed.
High energy efficiency:
- low energy consumption (lower limit of 8 kW per ton) due to optimized granulation process;
- two-stage power transmission, allowing the use of a single motor to operate at different speeds;
- hydraulic adjustment of the rollers for greater flexibility and safe adjustment based on specific formulations.
High quality feed:
- additional pellet knives for more precise adjustment of the pellet length;
- adding dietary fat;
- a properly selected formulation and configuration of the matrix allows to improve the physical (strength and durability), as well as chemical (gelatinization, content of pathogenic microorganisms) properties of the pellet;
- the use of a cascade sprayer after the granulator to spray liquid onto hot granules.
Hygiene of production:
- insulation and/or heating of the granulator door for hygienic production;
- The hot air supply system prevents condensation and dries product residues after the production cycle is completed.
