Grain slats and lamelles

The seed bars (form a working gap for oil output outside the working chamber) and lamellae (facilitate oil flow outside the working chamber), together with screws, screw bushings and augers, are the main working bodies of oil presses.
Grain bars are flat parts of complex angular shape, having understatement, forming a working gap to remove oil outside the working chamber. Oil presses of the OR and RP-1000 series are equipped with grain bars.
Lamellae are details of a complex cylindrical (disc-shaped) shape, relatively small thickness. The lamellas have the necessary understatement to facilitate the flow of oil outside the working chamber. Oil presses of the RP-500 series are equipped with lamellas.
Characteristic
The grain slats are made by mechanical processing of alloy steel blanks with subsequent heat treatment. The grain slats are produced in different types. The types of grain slats differ in overall and angular dimensions. Each type of grain slats corresponds to its own size of understatement, forming a working gap.
Lamellas are made by machining castings made of alloyed high-chromium cast iron. The casting of blanks is carried out according to polystyrene models baked using specific technological equipment. After mechanical processing, the lamella blanks are subjected to additional heat treatment.
The combination of the material used in the manufacture of screws with subsequent heat treatment gives the lamellas high hardness and wear resistance.

The principle of operation
Grain slats
- The grain slats are assembled into a chamber consisting of two symmetrical grain boxes and form its inner surface.
- When closing the grain boxes, a one-piece working chamber of the press is formed with an internal diameter providing the necessary working clearance with the outer surface of the turns of screws, screw bushings, augers.
- The working gap of the grain bars decreases in the direction from the entrance to the oil press to its outlet. The oil is squeezed out of the raw material due to abrasion between the working surfaces of the grain slats and screws and is removed through an underestimation of the working gap of the grain slats.
Lamelles
- The lamellae are assembled into a package forming a cylindrical working chamber.
- The inner diameter of the lamella package has the necessary working clearance with the outer surface of the turns of screws, screw bushings, augers.
- The lamellas are laid between each other by adjusting washers of small thickness, which ensure that the oil leaves the working chamber.
- Oil is squeezed out of the raw material due to abrasion between the working surface of the inner diameter of the lamella and is removed outside the working chamber through the interlample gap formed by installing adjusting washers.
