Sluice gates are designed to work in combination with cyclones, filters, pneumatic separators, which are part of the scheme of the technological process of feed production, long-range grinding mills.
Sluice valves are used for releasing deposited product from unloaders and air purification devices, as well as for releasing bulk products from bunkers.
Characteristic
To release bunkers in which substances with high fluidity of particles (granules) or those that move under pressure are transported, an element such as a sluice gate is needed – reliable and simple design that allows this complex technological process to be carried out safely.
Device
The sluice gate has a simple design, consisting of a cylindrical body, at the upper and lower ends of which there are mounting flanges. Bearing units equipped with a rotor mechanism are attached to the side of the cylinder. This mechanism consists of a drum rigidly mounted on a revolving shaft. Inside the drum is divided into pockets, where the unloaded product will flow during the process.
The rotor mechanism is rotated by a gear motor. The particles of the substance deposited in the hopper are captured while the drum rotates around its axis. Further, the substance moves downward under the influence of gravity. There, the sluice gate plays the role of a discharge valve, while due to its tightness it prevents the leakage of air or gas mixture from the bunker.
