The disk separator is designed for sorting bulk materials: to separate large foreign objects (stones, etc.) and too large a fraction of raw materials (coarse waste, bark, humpback, scraps, etc.) from raw materials at the raw material acceptance site. Thanks to the self-cleaning design, it is able to work with almost any material.
Characteristic
The separator consists of a frame and disc shafts, the torque to which is transmitted through a gear motor. The adjacent shafts are rotated by a chain drive. The discs are removable, the disc spacing is determined by the length of the bushings between adjacent discs of the same shaft.
The type of separated material is wood chips, sawdust, bark of natural moisture with a rare inclusion of coarse waste.
The size of the particles produced at the outlet and the performance depend on the disc spacing of the separator. Increased productivity is achieved by increasing the number of shafts and the width of the separator.

The principle of operation
