Cold and hot pressing of vegetable oil
In the "cold pressing" or so-called "cold pressing" method, the suppressed raw materials are not preheated. Heating occurs during the pressing process in the press itself due to friction. The heating temperature is below 90C. During "hot pressing", the raw materials supplied to the press are preheated to a temperature above 100C in braziers (or similar equipment). With "hot pressing", the residual oil content is lower, and the oil yield is higher than with "cold pressing".
