We are participants of the Second UZBEK-BELARUSIAN Women's Business Forum

The Forum on August 26-27, 2024 in Tashkent, headed by the Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus N. Kochanova, became a productive platform for the exchange of experience and the establishment of business contacts between women entrepreneurs of the two countries. In total, about a hundred businesswomen, heads of ministries and departments, and government organizations from the Republic of Belarus came to the forum.
The event was organized by the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.
The event combines a plenary session with thematic breakout sessions and an exhibition and fair part with a multidisciplinary presentation of goods, products of Uzbek and Belarusian enterprises.

Thematic sections of the forum
Within the framework of the Second Uzbek-Belarusian women's Business Forum, meetings of six thematic sections were held based on the main areas of cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan (mechanical engineering, light industry, agriculture, chemistry and woodworking, medical and educational services, tourism).
The main purpose of the breakout sessions is to demonstrate the Belarusian—Uzbek economic potential and to interest in establishing new contacts.
Section No. 4. Topic of the section: "Promising areas of cooperation in the field of economics, innovation, technology".

The session of Section No. 4 was devoted to the innovative approaches of the two countries to the development of agriculture and the food industry. Among the participants are the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food, heads and other representatives of the food and service sectors of the agro—industrial complex.

Globalprodservice took part in the work of the 4th section: Agricultural and food industry.
Martynova Elena Viktorovna, Head of the Marketing Department, presented a report and presentation on the topic: "Modern technologies and equipment for the extrusion and processing of oilseeds."

Section No. 1. Topic of the section: "Development of Uzbek-Belarusian trade relations in the field of services: tourism and wellness, education, healthcare, culture".
Roadmaps of cooperation between several universities of Belarus and Uzbekistan have been concluded, as well as memoranda of cooperation between the National Historical Museum of Belarus and the State Museum of History of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, between the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater and the Alisher Navoi State Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater and others.
Uzbek colleagues were interested in the experience and practices of Belarusians in the field of medicine. Alexander Starovoitov, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Belarus, stressed that cooperation in the field of healthcare between the two countries has been established and has been successfully developing for a long time: "Already today, we are assisting Uzbekistan in improving the maternal and child health service, including through the introduction of the Belarusian management system at the Mother and Child Health Center in the city of Karshi. It is also worth noting the growing export of products. In January — May 2024 Products worth $ 10.4 million were exported to Uzbekistan, the growth rate was 136.4 percent, including direct supplies of products worth $ 3.4 million."

Section No. 2. Topic of the section: "The expansion of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus in the field of chemical and woodworking industry was discussed during the session of the section"
The work was attended by heads of government agencies, industrial enterprises and associations. Within the framework of the section, contracts for the supply of polyamide yarn were signed between JSC Grodno Azot and LLC APITEKS and between JSC Grodno Azot and LLC KAMALAK TEKSTIL; as well as between JSC Grodno Azot and JV LLC My Brand Impex (for the supply of cord fabric and polyamide thread).
Section No. 3. Topic of the section: "Key areas of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus in the field of light industry"
Heads of government agencies and light industry enterprises took part in the work of section No. 3 on the topic "Key areas of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus in the field of light industry". Natalia Vernikovskaya, General Director of CJSC Milavitsa, Yulia Grinchik, General Director of JSC Kamvol, and Natalia Isupova, Deputy Director for Quality and Technology of Kalinka Open Joint Stock Company, presented their speeches from the Republic of Belarus. Within the framework of the section, a contract for the performance of tailoring services was signed between JSC Svitanak and LLC COLIBRI TEXTILE.
Prospects and opportunities for cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus in the field of mechanical engineering were discussed during the session of section No. 5. The work was attended by heads of government agencies and industrial enterprises. Within the framework of the breakout session, a contract for the supply of power transformers was signed between JSC "MATZ NAMED after V.I.KOZLOV" and LLC "SMNU"; a cooperation agreement for the supply of at least 50 units of machine sets of special equipment MMZ between JSC "Management Company of the holding "Minsk Motor Plant" and LLC "AAT GENERATORS".
Section No. 6. Topic of the section: "Prospects for the development of trade relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus in the field of electrical industry, electric power industry and "green" energy".
Parliamentarians, heads of state bodies, representatives of local authorities, heads of industrial enterprises and associations discussed measures taken in the field of technical regulation aimed at developing a "green" economy in the Republic of Belarus; tools for developing a "green" economy in the Republic of Belarus; innovations aimed at improving the efficiency of using existing natural resources, reducing the level of negative impact environmental impact in the development of design documentation for energy facilities; the development of electric transport as an innovative step towards a sustainable future of the country's energy sector; "smart" accounting of electricity in the system of energy supply companies and others.

N. Kochanova: Uzbek-Belarusian women's Business Forum meets the spirit of the times
The Uzbek-Belarusian women's Business Forum fully meets the spirit of the times. This was stated by the Chairman of the Council of the Republic Natalia Kochanova on August 27 at the plenary session II Uzbek-Belarusian Women's Business Forum in Tashkent.
"Without any doubt, the Belarusian—Uzbek women's business forum fully meets the spirit of the times, contributes to the implementation of the agreements reached by our leaders and the development of new areas of cooperation between the two countries," N. Kochanova stressed.
She also noted that this format of cooperation harmoniously combines the pressing interests of business, society and the state, so it can develop into a powerful inter-parliamentary, interstate and interregional women's movement.
According to the speaker, this is confirmed by the existing facts and figures. However, she also suggested that after summing up the results of the forum, the indicators will increase significantly.
— And it is even more significant that reliable business ties and simply good friendly relations are being built between women parliamentarians, managers, entrepreneurs, key public associations and youth structures, which form the foundation for further strategic cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan. I am sure that the results achieved are far from the limit of our capabilities. We have serious prospects ahead," N. Kochanova concluded.
The Council of the Republic recalled that following the results of the First Belarusian-Uzbek Women's Business Forum, 40 documents worth almost 150 million Belarusian rubles were signed.

Exhibition within the framework of the forum
On August 27, within the framework of the Forum under the auspices of the unitary enterprise Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Belarusian side presented an exposition at the exhibition areas of Pavilion No. 1 of the Uzexpocentre Exhibition Complex Made in Belarus with the participation of about 60 enterprises and organizations.
